I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Richard & Rochelle’s wedding yesterday at Barton Estate…
It started out with happy tears from the sky, a misty morning it sure was, by 10am the clouds had dispersed and a glorious day was produced- I always think it’s a wedding blessed when things happen like this, and even more so after this day! we kicked off with the boys at Devon Hotel, onto see the girls at the Salon, then up to Barton Estate for the girls getting ready, ceremony, a few location shots, then to Waitara Train Preservation Society Train Station for more location photos, and finally back to Devon Hotel for the reception. A big day! A Fun day! Full of laughter and love! Full of good people and good times!
Another special wedding for me, if you know these two then you’ll know why, if you know just one of them you’ll know why, they fit like a glove with each other. Their love has this ‘fun and respect’ base to it, hard to explain. They’re both creatives, actually they’re both extremely creative – their invite is to date the best I’ve ever seen, which was designed and made by hand by Richard with meticulous perfection. It doesn’t end there though, it’s everywhere with them, Rochelle’s dress- so simple and elegant and not only timeless, but is her, it’s her personality in a dress. Does that even make sense? I don’t know, but I know no other dress would have been ‘just right’ for her, this one was it. Yellow. It was a part of it, it’s a colour that could go wrong, but it didn’t, it couldn’t, not at their wedding, not even if they tried.
LOVE IS SWEET.
for these two, LOVE IS SUPER SWEET.
