We all knew this was going to be a special day, and that it was…
My wife and I have known Andrew since not long after we came home 5 years ago, so for us to photograph it was a little extra special, I mean, heck, if it wasn’t for Andrew we probably wouldn’t have brought our house, and we love our house, it’s our home! So yep, when we had the chance to shoot his wedding we were there! Not only that, but Zoe(my wife) hasn’t been shooting weddings with me for a couple of years now, for those that don’t know, we spent 5 or 6 years working as photographers together traveling the world. So that kinda tells you where Andrew fits in, he’s a special lad 😉
So, a few years ago we heard about this girl Sarah, then of course, we get to meet her, and her infectious laughter. You can’t not like Sarah, she’s one of those special people, you know what I mean? always friendly, always helpful, and this laugh that makes you laugh. I love it, it’s like you say something, she bursts her laugh, you laugh at her laugh because it’s so infectious, then you realize it makes you look like you’re laughing at your own jokes! well, you know what, who cares what it looks like, just laugh! =) These guys must have such a life together on the farm, you know, when no one’s around, when it’s just them; Andrew’s totally smitten, Sarah’s totally smitten. Really, it’s so awesome to see!
Oh, sorry, I got sidetracked! .. .their day! well… AMAZING. Is that enough? No, it doesn’t say enough, I’ll try to keep it short, because really, a book could be written! Let’s try…
Kicking off in Andrew’s Parent’s home, which personally I’ve always loved, at a guess around 100 years old, and there’s this awesome homely feel to it, you can almost feel the family togetherness coming out of the walls, and yet, there’s also this awesome contemporary art on the walls, there’s very few houses I’ve been into that have that mix and can pull it off. We caught up with the boys here for a few shots, then off to Sarah’s parent’s house in Lepperton. The wedding reception is also here in a marque in the garden. Such a beautiful setting, outside tables set up outside under shade, different areas being used, all having this amazing feel. The home is again 100 years +, gorgeous, with this lovely homely feel to it. So this is where we catch up with the girls getting ready, Sarah looked amazing… there’s lot’s going on, last touches of perfection happening, it’s all come together, and it’s just perfect.
Off to Lepperton church we go for the ceremony, the quaintest church I’ve photographed in- very special, very beautiful, a very very special place for Sarah’s family, the perfect setting.
Gosh, see… A book could be written, I’m going to stop here, I want to tell it in images, not words! But believe me, It was AMAZING!
Thanks to both families, such awesome people! The wedding party, again, fantastic people. Lovely to meet everyone, thanks to the MC, you’re a legend!
Thanks Andrew & Sarah, totally awesome, we’re both so happy to be able to capture your day for you! You guys rock together and we know you’re going to have the most amazing life together! Totally looking forward to seeing it happen over the coming years!
Have a blast on the honeymoon, oh yes, we’re absolutely jealous! =)
